    Superb

Very welcoming staff - buzzy, popular bar and good restaurant.

The room shower is good but a 'wet room' needs to be at the right levels to drain away - this one drained mostly out of the door onto the carpet!

    Superb

Staff extremely friendly and helpful, food excellent, rooms comfortable and pleasant, but payphone needs to be repaired as mobiles cannot get reception, though I was given free use of the hotel phone

    Good

The location is excellent for exploring Lock Ness and surrounding mountains. It is also close to ski resorts

Good location for the apartment at Parkside street, calm area, many buses and good for parking car. Good kitchen and laundry in the apartment.

Scary at the first night. Looks like scary movie scene (many locked rooms, windows). We did not sleep on the room downstairs !

Staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Location is good for walking the gg way. Nice having the seating outside.

Not a complaint as such but we were disappointed with the room which was very expensive for what it was. I think it was advertised as a super king size room. We had previously stayed in the main hotel in a much nicer room. Breakfast not served until 8.30 and then there was a bit of a wait while one waitress served everyone. We were walking the Great Glen way and were hoping to get going much earlier than we did.

    Very good

good location, very central to loch ness, nice jacuzzi

we booked a room with a four poster bed with drapes as seen in photos when advertised, we were a bit disapointed when the bed we were given did not have drapes, wich adds to the whole experience of sleeping in an authentic four poster

good base for travelling around local countryside.

repeated menu for several nights. we stayed there before and it changed every night.

Nothing apart from the nearby falls,

The room was in a converted outhouse with a shower that flooded the rest of the bathroom, supposed to be a "superior bouble room" The food on the Monday evening was nothing short of awful, perhaps it was the chefs night off but £20,00 for a sirloin steak that was almost inedible left me concerned that the first night of our tour north was an indication of what was to become.Thankfully our stays at other hotels revived my faith in Scottishs hotels, the most expensive and dissapointing stay of our otherwise wonderful holiday in Scotland

    Location

Why ask what you didnt like & follow it by stating no complaints? Our room was thick with dust as I pointed out to a member of the staff who was extremely apologetic & on our return had it clean. However a dirty room is not the way to make guests feel welcome. No one available at reception when it came to checking out.

    Fabulous

Hotel offers traditional country style and atmosphere. Sue provided a particularly warm welcome. Meals were good quality and overall the total package was considered value for money.

Hotel description on Bookings.com indicates location is on the shores of Loch Ness. This is not entirely accurate but the lake is only a short walk away and the hotel is positioned in a very pleasant country atmosphere

    Good

Good beds, nice bathroom with jacuzzi, very good dinner (at last - please also see comments below). A very nice place for romance and relaxation

In the middle of nowhere, and the staff wasn't so friendly as we experienced other places. My husband ordered haddock for dinner, while I went for today's soup. They called it mushroom soup, but was tasteless and lumpy so I sent it back to the kitchen. Kindly they offered me to have something else, and since I was not that hungry I asked for a small portion of the same that my husband had. Unfortunately this wasn't served until my husband had finished his meal, but it was really tasty and plenty for me. Got a bit surprised when we paid next morning, they had charged full price for the dinner - while in my opinion they should have charged half price - because of the small portion and the inconvenience of eating "alone". However, this is not a complaint - the staff was friendly and helpful throughout the dinner, but the total impression of the stay lost a few points on the incident.

    Superb

After a long day's travel we were welcomed and escorted to our room very quickly . Lovely room which the owners have put a lot of effort to presenting well. Superb dinner and a very nice wine list. A very friendly hotel. Thank you very much.

    Very good

The staff has been very attentive, good food and perfect location. The room we slept in had a perfect en-suite bathroom, but the room itself was very poor, with a very small bed and no view at all. Our stay was a pleasant one, especially so becouse of the nice staff.at reception and at bar & restaurant.

The room was described as a romantic four poster bed , but was in fact quite poor and not very romantic... The bed being a queen - size bed was really unconfortable and small.

    Modern bathrooms.

Stairs, very small beds, unappealing dining area. Very isolated position.

    Fabulous

It was a really nice small hotel that served good food and had a small but well stocked bar.I Stayed in a king room which was located a small distance away from the main hotel across a very quaint foot bridge. The king room was contempery compaired to the main building so if your looking for character and the whole tarten thing book the main building as they had tarten everywhere even down to the carpet! Great location as central to everywhere and not to far to drive to get to The Isle Of Skye.

The room was a bit on the small size compared to other king rooms I've stayed in as there wasn't any sofa or chair to relax on.There also wasn't a fridge in the rooms to keep water or any drinks cool although this may be deliberate to make sure the bar is well used but still think a fridge especially for the rooms in the separate annex is a good idea.Breakfast was served from 8:30am until 9:30am,would be better if served from 8am until 10am as would better serve early risers and people who want a lie-in.
